A Mollified Gradient Approach for Solving an Inverse Moving Boundary Problem

In this paper a numerical procedure based on mollification approach and conjugate gradient
method is established to solve a one dimensional inverse moving boundary value problem. The
problem is considered with noisy data. A regularized problem using mollification approach is
considered and the conjugate gradient method is used to solve the proposed problem. Some
numerical examples are considered to show the ability of this method. These examples show
that the accurate and stable results can be obtained efficiently for these kind of problems.
