Special Issue on New Trends in Fractional Calculus and its application

In recent years, Fractional calculus has played a significant role in different fields of engineering and science. Specifically, fractional derivatives and integrals' theories and applications are well-known in different directions of biological diseases, population dynamics, medicine, control theory, electromagnetics, viscoelasticity, fluid mechanics, electrochemistry, biological population models, optics, signals processing and so on.

This special issue aims to connect scientists' efforts, for whom problems related to new trends in fractional calculus are essential in their research activities. In this special issue, review, expository and original research articles on new contributions, advances and novel achievements in the theories and applications of fractional calculus in various fields of sciences are warmly welcome. The collected papers will supply a brief but meaningful description of the principle problems in fractional calculus and investigate a wide variety of its applications in many distinctive subjects. Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Fractional integro-differential equations
  • Finite differences
  • Lie symmetry for FPDEs
  • Numerical methods for solving variable-order differential equations
  • Mathematical models of biological diseases
  • Stability and optimal controls in biological systems
  • Biological diseases: fractional optimality and modeling
  • New stochastic and deterministic models of infectious diseases
  • Theoretical, computational, and experimental nature of various physical phenomena

Journal of Mathematical Extension(JME) is a quarterly journal which is dedicated to the publication of original and survey articles in pure and applied mathematics. All submitted manuscripts are checked by iThenticate plagiarism checker software and then will be peer reviewed critically by referees. This influential publication covers a wide spectrum of subjects including classical analysis, operator theory, approximation theory, ordinary and partial differential operators, functional equations, optimization and mathematical programming, nonlinear analysis and its applications, algebra, geometry and topology, their generalizations and applications and other areas. Currently, the journal's acceptance rate is around 18-22%.

This journal does not charge publication/processing fees from Author(s). We also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs and a liberal copyright policy. Please see our Guide for Authors for information on article submission. To see our full Editorial team click here.
